It’s a big day at 38 Studios! This announcement is really cool news, and though I can’t talk about any details just yet, the press release hints at what this means for our IP going forward.

Nice! This should be a big step towards seeing the new world in other formats. I’d love to see a console action-RPG!
I think it helps a new IP to expand over multiple “genres” as long as they have the personnel to manage multiple games. The exposure of the IP will help to maintain longevity and interest in the new unknown game world. Between the possible R.A. Salvatore novels set in the new world, the MMORPG game itself and other games and applications, the new IP should become a known IP in a very short time.
