Happy Birthday, EverQuest!

Ten years ago today, a game launched that would have a huge impact on my life in more ways that I can count. It was a big, beautiful, maddeningly imperfect game that would become an obsession. But more than anything, it gave me countless hours of fun.

Thanks to everyone who has been a part of the franchise over the last decade and more. Being a small part of the magic has been one of the great honors of my life.

Ah, well. I can never remember my own birthday without checking my driver’s license.

Happy Birthday to the game that broke the Bay Area’s internet the first week it was out!

  2. Indeed! Happy Birthday EQ!

When I think about all the friendships and dramas that happened during my time in Norrath I really do get a nostalgic pause…the game was/is more than “just a game”…

Anyways, here’s to remembering the countless (actually, I think it came out to something like 397 days played) hours of fun I had in EQ!
